What We Do

Practical support that makes a real difference

R3R provides four interconnected areas of support designed to help people rebuild their lives, regain independence, and move forward with confidence.

01

Practical Navigation

Helping you find your way through complex systems

Navigating life after custody can feel overwhelming. There are appointments to keep, forms to complete, and systems to understand — often all at once. R3R's navigation support means you don't have to face that alone. We sit alongside you, help you make sense of what's required, and support you to take each step with confidence.

  • Housing and accommodation signposting
  • Benefits and financial guidance
  • Probation-related needs and appointments
  • Referrals to specialist services
  • Everyday problem-solving and advocacy

Practical Navigation

We help people understand systems, appointments, forms, and next steps so they can access services with confidence. This includes support with housing, benefits, probation-related needs, referrals, and everyday problem-solving.

02

Digital Inclusion

Building the digital skills that open doors

In today's world, being able to use a computer or smartphone is essential — for job applications, accessing benefits, staying in touch with family, and managing everyday life. Many people leaving custody have had limited access to technology and need practical, patient support to build these skills. R3R provides that support in a non-judgemental, encouraging environment.

  • Email setup and basic communication
  • Using online forms and government services
  • Job search websites and online applications
  • Smartphone and internet basics
  • Online safety and staying secure

Digital Inclusion

We support people to build basic digital skills so they can use email, online forms, job sites, and essential services. Digital access is often a major barrier to resettlement, so this support can make a direct difference to independence and employment readiness.

03

Skills Development

Building confidence and preparing for the future

Getting back into work or training is one of the most powerful steps toward a stable life. R3R's skills development support is practical and person-centred — we work with you to identify your strengths, address barriers, and build the skills and confidence you need to take the next step, whatever that looks like for you.

  • CV writing and job application support
  • Interview preparation and practice
  • Budgeting and financial literacy
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Goal-setting and personal planning

Skills Development

We offer personal development and employability support that helps people strengthen routines, build confidence, and prepare for work or training. This could include CV support, interview preparation, budgeting, communication skills, and goal-setting.

04

Wellbeing Support

A supportive space to grow and stabilise

Emotional wellbeing is at the heart of sustainable rehabilitation. Isolation, low self-esteem, and unresolved stress can all make it harder to move forward. R3R creates a safe, welcoming space where people can connect with others, access mentoring, and take part in group activities that build resilience, routine, and a sense of belonging.

  • One-to-one mentoring and peer support
  • Group sessions and pro-social activities
  • Reducing isolation and building community
  • Emotional resilience and self-belief
  • Stable routines and positive habits

Wellbeing Support

We create a supportive environment where people can improve emotional wellbeing, reduce isolation, and develop pro-social habits. This can include mentoring, group sessions, and activities that promote stability and self-belief.

How we work

Our approach

Everything R3R does is practical, person-centred, and rooted in the belief that people do better when they are given the right support, opportunity, and encouragement. We complement statutory probation services and work alongside other community organisations to provide joined-up, consistent support.
